Oklahoma ranks among the bottom in the nation in the health of our citizens. We rank among the top in the nation in number of people without health insurance. It’s clear that we need to do more to make sure Oklahomans can see a doctor when they’re sick or fill a prescription when they need it. Last election, we saw states across the country take this issue straight to the voters with ballot initiatives to accept federal funding to expand health care coverage. This session, this same measure of accepting federal match dollars has been debated at the Oklahoma State Capitol. This forum will examine the state of health care in Oklahoma and discuss possible policy solutions.
