Together OK’s Day of Action will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, on the second floor rotunda of the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. The free event will begin at 11 a.m. with a short program, including brief remarks and a Legislative update from Oklahoma Policy Institute staff. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. During the event, attendees will receive resources to help make effective contact with lawmakers. In addition to sharing tools and resources, Together Oklahoma will also assist in scheduling appointments with legislators to spark conversations.

“As the Legislative session heads into the homestretch, our Day of Action is the perfect opportunity for Oklahomans to speak with lawmakers about the issues that matter most to them,” Together OK Outreach Director Angela Monson said. “The voices of constituents really do matter to lawmakers, and we here at Together OK are committed to empowering and equipping residents to use their voice for purposeful change.”

The Day of Action will provide an opportunity for residents to dig into important issues that affect Oklahoma families, including ensuring adequate funding for state programs and services and ensuring the availability of health care through the state’s Medicaid program (SoonerCare).

Together OK is a nonpartisan coalition of citizens working together to secure a robust future for our state. A program of OK Policy, Together OK serves as a grassroots education and advocacy group connecting Oklahoma values to state budget priorities.
