As the potential harm that could follow from Oklahoma’s huge $611 million budget hole has really hit home, Together Oklahoma is focusing on stopping a tax cut that was never intended to happen in these conditions. Legislators must be persuaded to halt the tax cut and use other sensible options to keep Oklahoma from going over this cliff.
Thanks to all who came to our meeting last week to brainstorm for this campaign. We’ve reviewed the notes and are starting to put some of your great ideas into action.
In order to save funding for schools, public safety, health care and other vital services, we are asking you to:
- Call your legislators or use this online form and tell them to HALT THE TAX CUT!
- Activate your networks! Share our resources about the budget crisis and why it’s important to halt the tax cut. Share this direct contact form to help your friends and colleagues contact legislators.
