As promised we are going to have a Post Session Wrap-Up Party in District 28 to celebrate their success in the Forgotten Fourteen competition!
Please RSVP for a free ticket HERE to join members of the Together Oklahoma Coalition and the staff of the Oklahoma Policy Institute, including Executive Director David Blatt, on Wednesday, June 17th at 6pm for our post legislative session wrap up party. We are coming to Giorgio’s Pizza in Chandler to celebrate the victory of Senate District 28 residents in the Forgotten Fourteen Competition. As you may remember, this session we challenged residents in 14 districts to contact their legislators to urge them to halt an ill-advised tax cut at a time of huge budget shortfalls and unmet needs. Folks in Chandler, Wewoka, Seminole, Meeker, Wellston, Davenport, and Tecumseh really stepped up, with dozens of residents taking the time to contact Sen. Jason Smalley and their state Reps. We are celebrating their commitment to engaged citizenship by coming to SD28.
We’ll have free pizza and drinks, and a brief presentation about how our efforts impacted the state legislature this year, followed by time to mingle and get to know other people who also care about fair and adequate funding for core public services.
Join us to celebrate our success and look toward the future at 6pm, Tuesday, July 16th at Giorgio’s Pizza. Please RSVP so the staff at Giorgio’s will know how much fresh pizza dough to make for our party.
