Let me guess: You want great public schools, smooth and sturdy roads and bridges, fire and emergency protection, clean water, opportunities for more and better jobs, access to affordable high quality health care, in safe and collaborative communities – right?
It isn’t actually a guess, it is more like cultural commonsense. We may differ on the ways to get to this vision of the future but most people want the same good things for themselves and their families. Finding the best paths to that prosperous society is what Together Oklahoma is all about!
We are hosting meetings all over the state this month and next to help you and your communities build power to invest in the foundation of a strong and prosperous future for all Oklahomans.
Between now and the start of Oklahoma’s legislative session we’ll be creating opportunities for each TOK member to meet with the two state legislators who represent each of us to introduce ourselves. It can be much easier to build a relationship when you’re not immediately asking for something, so let’s let them know we are here to help them get our state out of this giant budget hole.
Central Oklahomans, we are coming your way!
This past weekend, some 55 TOK members – new members and veterans, young and old, from all walks of life – came together in Tulsa. We had meaningful discussions, met with our Research, Events, and Communication committee members, and wrapped it up with some enthusiastic committments to take action immediately! Now we are ready to unleash that same energy in Oklahoma City and Norman.
Join us:
Thursday, December 8th from 6pm-8pm at 51st street Speakeasy, 1114 NW 51st St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73118 for Together OKC: Pre-session Action Training and Networking.
Saturday, December 10th from 2pm-4pm in the Lowry room at the Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster Ave, Norman, Oklahoma 73069 for Together Norman: Pre-session Action Training & Networking.
Communities thrive when we all chip in so I hope to see you there!
