Together Oklahoma hosting listening sessions highlighting rural, women’s, and southern Oklahomans’ voices

Together Oklahoma is excited to announce three upcoming listening sessions that will highlight the voices and lived experiences from rural residents, women, and southern Oklahomans. As the outreach advocacy arm of the Oklahoma Policy Institute, Together Oklahoma is hosting these listening sessions to offer an opportunity to hear directly from local communities for whom we advocate. The information and feedback from these sessions will inform policy recommendations to help move Oklahoma forward.

Register for Listening Sessions

The listening sessions are free with snacks and refreshments provided. All sessions will have virtual options to attend:

  • Listening Session: Rural Voices: Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom and at the Chickasaw-Marshall County Community Center, 10932 Enos / Shay Road, Kingston, OK 73439;
  • Listening Session: Women’s Voices: Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 7 p.m. via Zoom only;
  • Listening Session: Southern Oklahoma Voices: Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom and at American National Bank, 1901 N Commerce Street, Ardmore, OK 73401.

These listening sessions serve as a space for community members to express their ideas and views regarding state policies and issues that matter to them. The conversations that occur during the listening sessions help identify emerging issues and concerns in communities across the state and on specific issue areas. Listening sessions present an opportunity for collaboration to address policies in the most positive and constructive manner.
